Lake Helena Drive Gravel Pit Information

On June 4, 2008 Helena Sand & Gravel was issued an opencut mining permit for the purpose of extracting and processing sand & gravel on 111.5 acres located at 2802 Lake Helena Drive. The 111.5 acres is primarily the center portion of 422 acres of property owned by Helena Sand & Gravel at this site. More specifically the property lies between Lake Helena Drive and Valley Drive and South of the Helena Valley Irrigation Canal.

Helena Sand & Gravel hired experts to perform various studies that were incorporated within the final Environmental Assessment (EA). This was an effort to utilize the best science available to address concerns as brought forth during the public comment period. These studies are available on our website along with the EA and Plan of Operations.

Our company is committed to operating this facility in a manner which keeps the safety of the public and our employees a top priority.
